Ggaba Joy

Joy is the Programme Communications Officer for GESS.  Her role places her in both the administration and communications sides of the Programme.

Joy joined GESS2 in October 2019 from BBC MediaAction, where she worked as a radio producer and presenter for a youth focused factual radio program that aired both locally and nationally. She worked on the GESS 1 project previously as a Community Mobilisation Assistant with BBC Media Action. Joy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Kampala University, Uganda.

Joy is passionate about having positive influence in the lives of the youth and she loves mentoring teenagers, especially girls.
